Established in 2005, Resume Arrow currently has more than 18,800 contingency and retained search firms as members. It's these members--firms that have opted into the service--that receive resumes from client candidates.

Unlike Resume Rabbit which is a resume posting service, Resume Arrow concentrates solely on resume distribution to recruiters.

The parent company for Resume Arrow, North America LiveCareer, Inc., is a BBB (Better Business Bureau) accredited business and holds a rating of A+ on a scale of A+ to F.

Procedure:

Provide contact and payment processing information via an online form, then follow the instructions for uploading your resume. You'll be given the opportunity to select recruiters specializing in 3 different job categories or industries and up to 4 different geographical areas.

Industry selections range from Accounting & Auditing (4,099 recruiters) to Waste Management (975 recruiters) and everything in between. By the way, you can choose additional categories/industries to increase exposure to your resume. It's $10.00 for an 3 additional industries.

All resumes will be emailed to your selected recruiters usually within one business day of account set-up and payment processing. You'll receive a confirmation of such. Want to be able to follow up with the recruiters your resume is sent to? They'll provide you with a list of the recruiters your resume was e-mailed to for $19 extra.

If there is interest or a placement fit, the recruiter gets in touch directly with you.

Likes:

  • You can target your industry. Choose three or more industries or disciplines, and your resume goes only to those recruiters specializing in those fields.
  • You can target your geography. Choose four or more U.S. states, and your resume goes only to those recruiters working in those areas.
  • Confidentiality. Select their confidentiality feature, and your name and contact information will be kept off the resume--and replaced by a forwarding email address. No charge.
  • Reasonable guarantee: "If you haven't received the kind of response you were looking for," (their words) they'll let you re-send your resume at no charge 30 days after your initial order.
  • Optional contact list of all recruiters who received your resume.

Dislikes:

  • Nothing at this time.

Summary and Recommendation:

Resume Arrow specializes in one just thing and they do it pretty well--getting your resume in the hands of recruiters. The service is straightforward and pricing is reasonable. With the BBB offering up a score of A+ to the parent company, I'm very comfortable recommending the service.
